northwest driving school™ is a state licensed program with a progressive curriculum approved by the State of Washington Department of Licensing. All of our instructors have completed our rigorous certification process and are also fully licensed by the Washington State Department of Licensing.

Our teachers are experienced in adapting to the learning styles of students and use a variety of techniques such as cooperative learning, direct instruction, visual aides, discussions and hands-on experiences. They also have the unique ability to make the learning meaningful to the lives of their students.

We're not strangers to working with young people and adults in the educational and teaching fields. The initiative for our driving school came because we feel mastery of skills in safe driving would save thousands of teen and adult lives each year. That’s why we are dedicated to teaching our students to DRIVE TO SURVIVE™.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately, northwest driving school has made the tough decision to move our services to the neighboring area of Chimacum for lack of teaching facilities. While we have exhausted all common to leads for a classroom with the local school district, YMCA, City of PT & Community School, we are still in hopes that a suitable learning enviroment is available in Port Townsend & ask that you forward us any ideas you have. We are however, very grateful for the help of the Chimacum School District for the welcome to their facility and offering us the opportunity to continue offering Traffic Safety Education to the area!
